CLEAN DRAINAGE DITCHES AND NEW SEWER LINES FOR RESIDENTS IN DUY HAI COMMUNE
[Quang Nam – 12, Oct 2023] – Residents in two villages Tay Son Tay and Tay Son Dong (Duy Hai commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) feel more secure during this rainy and stormy season thanks to a 3.5-kilometer system of clean drainage ditches and new sewer pipes.
To mitigate flooding during the rainy and stormy season, Hoi An South Development Ltd. (Hoiana Resort & Golf) coordinated with the People’s Committee of Duy Hai Commune (DHPC) to dredge drainage ditches and install new sewer lines in the residential areas.
Every year since 2021, Hoiana has supported Duy Hai commune to dredge drainage ditches before the rainy and stormy season begins. This year, the People’s Committee of Duy Hai Commune and Hoiana decided to extend the scope of the project.
The project of cleaning drainage ditches and installing new sewer pipes was carried out in two villages of Tay Son Dong and Tay Son Tay, nearly 3.5km long and valued at VND 260 million. After completion, it would mitigate flooding, immediately improve the quality of life of 650 households in the area.
After more than a month of construction, on 11th October, Hoiana officially handed over the project to the People’s Committee of Duy Hai Commune.
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Pham Duoc, Secretary of Party Committee of Duy Hai Commune shared: “We highly appreciate the contribution of Hoiana to local community. We hope Hoiana will continue to accompany with us to drive local economic growth as well as improve the standard of living for people here.”
